Captioning can be an arduous step of any photovoice, and we must recognize the unique challenges that people speaking a second language, or with low literacy levels, can encounter at this stage. In this interactive workshop, we will explore different techniques to approach this phase with arts-based and ESL tools that can be useful for working with a broad range of participants, both adults and youth.
This training will also provide an opportunity to work hands-on on a selection of captioning activities, giving attendees the chance to step in the participants shoes.
