“Deep Seeing” describes the ability to “read,” decode, interpret, create, question, challenge, and evaluate visual information, the same as we do for the written word. Deep seeing means being “visually literate,” in other words, able to recognize intentional and hidden meanings in photographs of our lives, work, and environment.
Upon course completion, you will have concepts and skills to empower photovoice participants to create meaningful photographs and collaborate with you to interpret them for research, evaluation, and advocacy. Participants will receive a Training Certificate.
